The story behind this design

Printing a pink bird across four different body colors is a real constraint, because coral reads very differently on black than on white. The solution here was to outline the flamingo and to give the plumage enough internal contrast that it holds its shape on a dark ground, where a softly shaded version would disappear. The Gray body is the one that flatters the color most; the Black gives the most drama.
