The story behind this design
The hearts here are not stamped at one size on a grid. They vary from a thumbnail down to a pinhead and tilt at different angles, so the pattern never shows an obvious row. Three pinks are used, from pale blush to a deeper rose, and the lightest ones sit closest to the white ground, which keeps the wrap from reading as a block of color when the mug is turned.
