Pastel Pink Waves
About This Item
The DipaliZ pastel pink wave desk mat is a neoprene mat printed with a soft wave pattern in pink. Three sizes are sold: 12" x 18", 12" x 22" and 16" x 32". A wave gives the mat a direction without any hard edges, which is unusual among patterned desk mats. The pastel pink stays pale enough that dark objects on the desk still stand out against it. Sizes and material are taken from this product's own specification.

The story behind this design
Waves and pastels are both ways of avoiding hard contrast, and using them together is a deliberate choice to make a desk calmer rather than louder. The curves run the length of the mat, so the largest size reads as one long sweep. The mood is soft and uncluttered, the opposite of a gaming mat.
