The story behind this design

The pocket is drawn, not stitched, which is the whole joke: the bear leans on an edge that is not really there. Its paws hook over the false hem and the head tilts up out of frame. Scale is kept small and placement high on the chest, so from a distance it reads as an actual patch pocket.
