The story behind this design
Caution signage is built to be read at speed and from a distance, which is a strange and useful thing to borrow for a joke about pastry. The drawing keeps the hard geometry of the sign and lets the donut inside it stay loose and hand-made, so the two halves argue with each other. That tension is the design; drawn neatly, it would just be a sticker.
