The story behind this design
The geometry is built from interlocking shapes in three purples plus a near-black outline, drawn at a scale that reads from standing height rather than from a chair. A table gets covered by plates and glasses, so the pattern was kept strongest toward the corners and the overhang where it will still be visible. Nothing is centered, because the center of a laid table is the one place a design never gets seen.
