About This Item
The Raven & Rose Woven Blanket is a throw blanket printed with a gothic floral scene and the lettered phrase The Raven's Shadow. The blanket is produced in three sizes, from 52 inches by 37 inches up to 80 inches by 60 inches. The artwork pairs a perched raven with full-blown roses and a band of display type. This throw suits a reading corner, a dark-toned living room, or a gift for someone who reads Poe every October.

The story behind this design
The raven sits three-quarters on, wings folded, with roses opening around and beneath it so the bird is framed rather than crowded. Deep reds and near-blacks carry most of the composition, with the lettering set in a narrow serif that echoes a nineteenth-century title page. The result reads as literary gothic — roses and typography doing the work that a skull would do elsewhere in this collection.
