The story behind this design
A scrunchie gathers, so a pattern with no orientation survives it best, and a polka dot has none at all: the print looks correct however the fabric bunches. The dots are drawn at a single size with uneven spacing, which stops the gathered fabric creating moire lines. The removable bow is the one piece of structure on an otherwise soft object.
