The story behind this design
Snowflakes are set in rows against a gray ground with red bands running between them, the flakes simplified to eight-point stars because a knit cannot hold a fine crystal arm. The red is a deep brick rather than a bright scarlet, which keeps the sweater on the right side of festive. Gray doing the background work is what makes it wearable with almost anything.
