The story behind this design
A hood changes where a chest print can sit, because the drawstrings and the front pouch both crowd the field. The type here is scaled to fill the width between those two edges and no further, which is why the letterforms read as large without the phrase running off the seams. Stripping out every ornament was deliberate: on a heavy winter garment, anything added to the words starts to look like a badge.
