The story behind this design

The roses are small enough that the pattern reads as texture from across a room and as individual flowers in the hand. Hearts are dropped in at irregular intervals rather than on a grid, so the repeat is hard to spot. Against the white body the reds and greens stay clean and the whole thing looks more like enamelware than like a novelty flask.
