The story behind this design
Santa is drawn in profile leaning forward on a loaded sledge, the runners curving up at the front and a sack of parcels behind him, with the whole figure set on a diagonal across the circle. That diagonal is what makes the ornament read as motion. Red, cream and a cool blue for the snow track carry it, with gold only on the parcel ribbons.
