The story behind this design
The shells are laid out the way a beachcombing haul ends up on a windowsill: turned at different angles, some face up and some face down, a starfish resting across two of them. Nothing is evenly spaced and nothing is the same size, which is what keeps the cover from looking like wrapping paper. The palette is bleached, all chalk white, pale coral and driftwood grey, as though everything on the page has been in the sun for a season.
Frequently asked questions
Q: Are the pages ruled?
A: Yes. The DipaliZ Shells Spiral Notebook has ruled pages throughout.
Q: How is the notebook bound?
A: It is spiral bound along one edge, so it opens flat and folds back on itself.
Q: Is there a size to choose?
A: No. This notebook is sold in a single size.
Q: How does this differ from the DipaliZ Seaside Frame notebook?
A: This cover scatters the shells and starfish across the whole page, while the Seaside Frame design keeps them in a border around the edge with the center left clear.
Q: Would this work as a beach wedding guest gift?
A: Yes. It is a small, flat, useful keepsake, and the shell motif matches a coastal wedding without naming the occasion on the cover.
Care
Keep the DipaliZ Shells Spiral Notebook out of damp bags and away from direct sunlight so the bleached palette does not lose contrast. Store it upright to protect the spiral.
