The story behind this design
This crest is built from layered shield shapes rather than a single emblem, so the eye travels inward to the dates at the center. The lettering is spaced wide and set in a serif face, which is what gives the tile its civic, documentary feel. Where the eagle magnet in this range reads like a medal, this one reads like a page from a charter.
Frequently asked questions
Q: How large is this heritage magnet?
A: The DipaliZ heritage magnet is a square porcelain tile measuring 2 inches on each side. One size is offered.
Q: Is the back magnetic or adhesive?
A: The back is magnetic. A magnet is mounted to the reverse of the porcelain tile, so nothing is stuck to the surface it sits on.
Q: What is printed on the tile?
A: The tile carries an American heritage crest marking 250 years, with the dates 1776 and 2026 set into the design.
Q: Can I buy this as a set?
A: This listing is for one magnet. DipaliZ prints several other designs on the same 2 inch porcelain blank, so a set can be put together from separate listings.
Care
Wipe the printed face with a damp cloth and dry it. Keep the tile away from magnetic media such as bank cards and hard drives. Porcelain chips when dropped, so lift the magnet off rather than sliding it over an edge.
