The story behind this design
The story this image tells is a specific one: Shiva catching the descent of the Ganga in his hair so the fall would not break the earth. The artwork treats the water as light rather than liquid, a bright ribbon curling down through darker cosmic blues, and keeps the figure calm while everything around it moves.
