The story behind this design
The ribs are drawn with genuine anatomical asymmetry rather than mirrored from one side, which is the detail that separates this from a costume print. Bone is rendered in an aged ivory with fine cross-hatch shadow beneath each rib, so it sits on a black shirt without the hard cut-out edge a solid white print would give. The sternum is left slightly lighter, which is where the eye lands first.
