The story behind this design

The skull is drawn hard-edged at the top and progressively looser toward the jaw, so the melt reads as a process rather than a filter laid over a finished image. Neon pink, acid green and electric cyan run in separate channels instead of blending, which keeps each drip legible against black. Nothing in the palette appears anywhere on the skull itself, only in what is leaving it.
