The story behind this design
Navy was the deciding choice here. On white or cream a snowflake motif tips straight into Christmas-card territory, but a deep navy ground turns the same crystals into something closer to a night sky in January. DipaliZ varied the crystal geometry across the repeat so the flakes do not stamp out identically, which is what stops the pattern reading as clip art.
