About This Item
This DipaliZ throw blanket is a velveteen plush blanket printed with a snowman and Rudolf the reindeer standing together in the snow. The blanket is made of 83% polyester and 17% spandex, which gives the pile a slight stretch and a soft hand. Three sizes are listed, from a 30 by 40 inch lap blanket up to a 60 by 80 inch size that covers a bed. The design is printed on one face in high detail and the reverse is left plain. It suits a sofa in December, a child's room, or a gift for someone who already owns every mug.

The story behind this design
The snowman and the reindeer are drawn as a pair rather than as separate motifs, the snowman leaning in with a carrot nose and a striped scarf while Rudolf looks out at the viewer. Snow is handled as soft white drifts with pale blue shadow, and the only strong colors are the scarf, the nose and a scatter of baubles. The effect is quiet and companionable rather than loud.
