The story behind this design
The two clauses are set in contrasting weights, a light apologetic script for the first and a blunt sans-serif for the second, so the sentence turns on itself halfway through. Nothing is illustrated; the change in typeface carries the entire joke. The ink is kept to one warm charcoal that sits comfortably on grey, white and the undyed natural cotton alike.
