The story behind this design
A stripe on a V-neck vest has to negotiate the neckline, and where the lines meet that diagonal is the whole character of the piece. Here the stripes run horizontally and get cut cleanly by the V, which is the classic approach and the reason this shape has survived from tennis pavilions to school uniforms without much change. Keeping the stripe rather than adding a motif is what makes it the year-round vest in the range.
