About This Item
The DipaliZ Vibrant Abstract Fingerprint mouse pad is made in one size and two shapes, rectangle or round. It has a non-slip base. The design is a fingerprint motif worked in bright abstract color rather than plain monochrome. Choosing round or rectangle is worth a moment's thought: a round pad suits a small desk and a rectangle gives more travel for a low-sensitivity mouse.

The story behind this design
The same ridged fingerprint pattern can read completely differently depending on its palette. In color it stops looking like identification and starts looking like contour lines on a relief map, with each band picking up a different hue as it curls. On a round pad the motif sits concentrically and looks intentional; on a rectangle it runs off the edges and looks like a fragment of something larger.
Frequently asked questions
Q: What shapes can I choose?
A: A rectangle or a round pad, both in a single size.
Q: Does the pad slip on the desk?
A: It has a non-slip base designed to keep it in place while the mouse moves.
Q: What does the design look like?
A: A fingerprint pattern of curved ridges, printed in bright abstract color rather than black and white.
Q: How is this different from the DipaliZ black and white fingerprint mouse pad?
A: That one is monochrome in a fixed 9.5 by 8 inch rectangle; this one is a color design and can be ordered round as well as rectangular.
Care
Wipe the surface with a damp cloth and let it dry flat. Do not machine wash the pad or soak the base.
