The story behind this design
The flowers are drawn in the thick-petalled, flat-color style of seventies textile prints, and lining them up in a single row across the chest is what makes the design read as a border rather than a bouquet. Small hearts fill the gaps between stems in red and green, which are the only two saturated colors in the print. The deep grounds let those two sit forward.
