The story behind this design
A teacher's tote carries paper, and paper is what falls out of an open bag, which is why the zip matters more than the slogan. The lettering was drawn by hand so the line looks written rather than typeset, as a lesson plan would be. Keeping the print to one panel leaves the canvas plain everywhere else, so the bag does not look like merchandise from across a room.
