The story behind this design
The dragon's body is broken into flat triangles, each one a slightly different shade of teal, violet or deep indigo, so the creature reads as carved from gemstone. The wings fan out in larger facets that catch the lighter tones. The mood is cool and mythic rather than fiery, which is why the palette avoids red entirely.
