The story behind this design
Bands of clay, oatmeal and burnt umber stack across the face, broken by narrow rows of a darker thread that read almost as stitching. Nothing in it is symmetrical, which is what gives a woven piece its handmade quality. Because the pattern is in the weave rather than on it, the color shifts slightly depending on which way the light falls across the cushion.
