The story behind this design

The slogan was built for a chest and had to be rebalanced for a bag, where a narrow stack would float in the middle of a wide panel. Here the lines are set at a larger size and pushed to roughly equal width, so the block squares off against the bag face, and the ampersand is brought up to the same weight as the words rather than being dropped small. On cotton the letterforms soften very slightly at the edges, which suits a bag that is meant to be used daily.
