The story behind this design
The print is deliberately crowded: hibiscus and plumeria heads overlap at full saturation in hot pink, coral, turquoise and acid yellow, with deep green leaves pushed into the gaps rather than framing the flowers. Nothing in the composition has room to breathe, which is the point, because a flip flop footbed is only seen in flashes as you walk. Against the Black sole the colors read at their brightest.
