The story behind this design

Pisces is a sign about pull in two directions, and the drawing keeps that tension visible: the two fish curve away from one another while the band between them refuses to let go. Ornamental flourishes run off the tips of the fins, closer to engraving than to a printed symbol. On a plain white ground the fine work has room to breathe, which is why no second colourway was added.
