The story behind this design
The flag is treated as worn cloth rather than a crisp banner: stripes slightly broken, the star field softened, edges allowed to fade into the twill. That handling matches a distressed crown better than a clean vector flag ever would. It was drawn for the Fourth of July and quiet enough to wear in September.
