The story behind this design
Ripe tomatoes sit alongside loose basil leaves in a simple arrangement, painted with the deep reds and dark greens of a summer kitchen table. There is no styling or props around the food, just the two ingredients that make the most familiar pairing in Italian cooking. The mood is appetizing and domestic, an artwork about eating well rather than about decoration.
