DipaliZ Lemon Ice Cubes Vibrant Cork Coaster

Lemons, ice cubes and fresh herbs print this DipaliZ cork coaster, a 3.75 inch square. Cork is the quiet choice for a coaster: it grips the table, takes up the condensation running off a cold glass and never scratches a polished surface. Summer parties, home bars and long afternoons with iced drinks are where the subject and the material agree with each other.

The story behind this design

The design assembles the parts of a cold drink rather than showing the glass: lemon wheels, angular ice cubes, sprigs of mint and rosemary, arranged to fill the square without a center point. Against the warm brown of cork the yellows and greens read brighter than they would on white. The mood is the moment before the first sip.

Frequently asked questions

Q: What is this DipaliZ coaster made of?
A: Cork.

Q: What size and shape is it?
A: A 3.75 by 3.75 inch square.

Q: Why cork rather than hardboard?
A: Cork grips a table rather than sliding, absorbs condensation from a cold glass and will not scratch a polished surface.

Q: How does it differ from the DipaliZ peony coasters?
A: The peony coasters are 4 inch matte hardboard squares sold in packs of 50 or 100. This is a 3.75 inch cork square with a lemon and herb design.

Care

Wipe with a barely damp cloth and let the coaster air dry flat. Do not soak cork or put it in a dishwasher, as prolonged wet will swell and warp it.
