The story behind this design
An all-over print on a fitted skirt has to survive being stretched and curved, so this floral avoids long straight stems and tight geometric repeats, either of which would show the distortion. Instead the blooms are packed in a loose scatter with strong color blocks: hot pink, ochre and a sea green that carries the mid-tones. Seen from a distance the effect is closer to a painted textile than to a photograph.
