Vintage Book Library

About This Item

The DipaliZ Vintage Booklover Tote is a printed tote bag measuring 17 by 18 inches. The design is a library pattern of vintage book spines in faded cloth colors, stacked and leaning across the bag. The listing offers a Finish choice between an Artwork and a Photo treatment. At this depth the bag takes a stack of hardbacks or a term of paperbacks. Size and options come from this bag's own specification.

Product details

  • Tote bag, 17 by 18 inches
  • Finish choice of Artwork or Photo print treatment
  • Vintage library pattern of stacked book spines
  • Deep enough for hardbacks, folders and a notebook

The story behind this design

The spines are drawn as worn cloth bindings rather than as glossy modern jackets, in the mustards, oxbloods and faded greens that publishers used before dust wrappers took over. Some lean, some are shelved backwards, and a few have gaps where a book is out on loan. It looks like a shelf somebody actually reads from rather than a display.
