The story behind this design

The route shield anchors the label, set slightly off center with a dashed road line running out from behind it to the jar's edge. The shield is drawn with its paint chipped along the top curve, which is the one piece of wear in an otherwise crisp design and is what dates it. Highway black and a bleached white carry the shield, with the anniversary line in a dusty red beneath.
