The story behind this design
Asia is the hardest continent to give one palette, because a single wash across it would flatten the difference between steppe, desert and archipelago. Each country takes its own tone here, which makes the borders legible without drawing hard lines. The lettering stays small and even so the paint reads first.
Frequently asked questions
Q: Does the map name the countries?
A: Yes. The artwork is a watercolor map of Asia labeled with its country names.
Q: What frame and colors are offered?
A: An ayous wood frame, offered in black, red oak or white.
Q: Which size suits a detailed map best?
A: Asia carries a great many country labels, so the larger sizes up to 24x36 inches hold the text more comfortably than the smallest ones.
