The story behind this design
Starfish, scallop shells and small spirals are scattered as if washed up in a line along the tide mark, drawn loosely with uneven outlines so nothing looks stamped. Sand beige, coral and sea green do all the work. The whimsy is in the drawing rather than in any faces or cartoon detail.
