The story behind this design
A single bird sits among open flowers, placed in the upper third of the panel so the motif lands at eye level once the curtain hangs. The colors were chosen bright on purpose, because a sheer fabric washes out a pale drawing when light comes through it. Toward the hem the flowers thin out and the ground is left clear, which keeps the panel from looking heavy at the bottom.
