The story behind this design
The berries in this cover are painted wet, with the red bleeding a little past its own outline the way it does on damp paper. Around them the foliage is greyed rather than bright green, which is how holly and hawthorn actually look in December light. Nothing is outlined in black anywhere on the cover, so the whole thing stays soft enough to sit on a bedside table without shouting.
