About This Item
This DipaliZ gift wrap is a satin-finish paper showing a snowy village scene. Two sheet sizes are sold, 28 by 39 inches and 28 by 79 inches. Cottages, pines and falling snow sit on a soft mint ground rather than the usual red. The scene is the whole design, so this sheet suits a gift you want to look considered rather than loud.

The story behind this design
A scenic wrapping paper is a harder thing to design than a motif repeat, because a scene has a horizon and a horizon has a right way up. The answer here was to build the village as a loose ring of cottages seen from slightly above, so there is no single skyline to get upside down. Mint instead of red is what keeps a picture this busy from becoming noisy on a table of presents.
Frequently asked questions
Q: What sizes does this gift wrap come in?
A: Two sheet sizes, 28 by 39 inches and 28 by 79 inches. You choose one at checkout.
Q: What is the scene on the paper?
A: A snowy village of cottages and pine trees with falling snow, on a soft mint ground.
Q: Why mint rather than red or green?
A: Mint keeps a detailed scene calm. A saturated red behind this much detail would read as busy.
Q: Does the scene have a right way up?
A: No. The cottages are arranged as a ring seen from slightly above, so there is no single skyline to orient.
Care
Keep the wrapping paper rolled rather than folded and store it somewhere dry, because damp softens paper and a fold line shows through a finished parcel. Cut it against a straight edge.
