The story behind this design
The flowers here are loose and almost sketched, with brushy petals that break the stripe underneath rather than sitting neatly on top of it. The palette is pulled from dried earth rather than a garden in bloom: terracotta, bark brown, oat and a chalky cream. It reads closer to a faded 1970s shirt found in a market stall than to a tropical print.
