The design decision that defines this piece is the hanger rather than the frame. A wooden batten at the top and bottom keeps the paper flat, lets the sheet sit slightly proud of the wall, and leaves the edges of the print visible instead of cropping them behind a mount. Matte stock was chosen over gloss for the same reason: it holds the ink without throwing back the light in the room.
