The story behind this design

Zion reads vertically in person and horizontally in memory, and this design chose the memory. The composition sets the canyon walls as two weights on either side, letting the eye travel along the floor between them. Rust and ochre hold the rock; a band of sage along the base is the only cool note in the palette, which is what keeps the piece from feeling arid.

Frequently asked questions

Q: What exactly is being sold here?
A: This listing is a stretched matte canvas print of Zion's canyon, mounted on a wooden frame 1.25 inches deep. It is wall art, not a paper print in a mount.

Q: How many sizes are available?
A: The DipaliZ Zion canvas comes in fifteen horizontal sizes, from a small 10 by 8 inches up to a 60 by 40 inch statement size.

Q: Which size works above a sofa?
A: A 36 by 24 inch or 40 by 30 inch DipaliZ canvas suits a standard three-seat sofa, while the 10 by 8 and 12 by 9 inch sizes are made for a shelf or a gallery cluster.

Q: Is the finish glossy?
A: No. The DipaliZ Zion canvas is printed with a matte finish, so the surface does not throw back light from a window or a lamp.

Q: Is this one of several national park canvases?
A: Yes. DipaliZ prints several park landscapes; this one is Zion specifically, drawn around the canyon walls rather than an arch or a peak.

Care

Wipe the canvas face with a dry, soft cloth only. Avoid hanging it in a bathroom or against an outside wall that gets damp, and keep cleaning liquids away from the print.
