The story behind this design
The Aum is drawn large and centered, its curves weighted the way a brush would weight them — thicker through the belly of each stroke, tapering at the tail. A fine mandala border rings the outer edge of the face. The palette is warm and narrow: saffron and deep maroon on cream. The design is quiet enough that the hour markers never compete with it.
