About This Item
The DipaliZ Farmhouse Gingerbread Table Runner is a printed table runner sold in 16 by 72 inches and 16 by 90 inches, in cotton twill or polyester. Christmas ornaments, baubles and candy canes run the length of the cloth in a warm gingerbread palette. The 90 inch length is the one for a long dining table with leaves in. The story behind this design
A table runner is seen in a long strip from one end, which makes it a different design problem from a square cloth. The ornaments here are therefore graded in size along the length rather than tiled evenly, so there is always something large in the foreground and something small receding. The gingerbread browns and warm reds were chosen to sit under candlelight, where a cooler festive red goes flat.
