The story behind this design
Coffee and a heart are set on the same baseline so neither outranks the other, which is the whole premise of the phrase. The cup is drawn with steam rising in a line that doubles as the crossbar of a letter. Deep earthy shirt colors like Smoked Paprika and Royal Pine were plainly the target, since a coffee design on a pale shirt tends to read as a cafe logo.
