The story behind this design
Three of the four grounds here are pale, which changes what the character has to do: on a dark shirt a monster glows and does the work by contrast, but on Soft Pink and Soft Cream it has to hold together on its own outline. The drawing is therefore built with a closed, confident edge rather than a glow. Turquoise is the one ground that pushes back, and on that shirt the character reads coldest.
