The story behind this design

The triangles are all the same shape and almost never the same color, which turns a simple tessellation into something that behaves like stained glass. Black wedges are dropped in at intervals to stop the brights from averaging out into mush. Seen from across a room it reads as one bright block; up close it resolves into several hundred separate decisions.
