The story behind this design
The design started as a close study of garden roses, with the leaves drawn deliberately larger than the blooms so the foliage carries the pattern. The palette stays inside a narrow band of greens — moss, sage and a deeper pine — which leaves the pink and cream flowers as the only warm notes on the bed. The mood is a shaded garden in full leaf rather than a cut bouquet.
