About This Item
This DipaliZ product is a deck of poker playing cards printed with dragonflies and ladybugs. Each card is 2.5" x 3.5" on smooth 300 gsm premium-coated cardstock, semi glossy, on a white base. The deck is a standard poker set. It suits a summer table, a camping trip and anyone who likes small creatures rendered carefully rather than cartooned.

The story behind this design
Dragonflies are long and ladybugs are round, and the design uses that contrast as its whole structure: the elongated bodies give the pattern direction while the small domes punctuate it. Keeping the ground plain lets both read clearly, which a flowered background would not allow at this scale. The red of the ladybugs is the only strong colour, so it does the work of marking the back at a glance.
Frequently asked questions
Q: What is on the card backs?
A: A dragonflies and ladybugs design. The faces are the standard suits and values.
Q: What size and stock are these cards?
A: Poker size, 2.5 by 3.5 inches, on smooth 300 gsm premium-coated cardstock with a semi glossy finish.
Q: Is this the same as the flowers and butterflies deck?
A: No. They are two separate listings with the same card specification. This deck is dragonflies and ladybugs; the other pairs butterflies with flowers.
Q: Are the cards a full standard deck?
A: Yes, a standard poker-size deck that plays any game an ordinary deck does.
Care
Keep the deck in its box, dry and out of direct sun. Shuffle with dry hands so the coated surface stays clean.
